Future Plans for the LS

It was announced that the FFXIV servers will be shut down November 11th for the move to 2.0. It has also been said the servers may be down for up to 3 months. During this time, I want to get as many of us as possible to play something else together. Preferably something free to play, but I'm open to any ideas. The ideas the officers through out were Team Fortress 2, Guild Wars 2, Lord of the Rings: Online, Star Wars: the Old Republic, Phantasy Star Online. Also hopefully many of us will get into the 2.0 beta.

Please feel free to give your own suggestions.

Also, going into 2.0 will be the creation of free companies. These basically work more like a traditional guild system where you can only have one. The Gypsies Soul will remain a Link Shell, but for those of you that want to make us your permanent home for RP, End Game content and what-not, I will also be establishing a Free Company. The Linkshell will still exist for social stuff! so no worries if that is the only part your interested, but I want to do this as our linkshell is slowly growing and doing more events like that.

Needless to say, I'm excited, I hope many of y'all will join us as a Free Company, and I look forward to the time we can spend together!

I have TF2 on my computer, but have never actually played it. xD

I'd be down for any of those really. And I'm so excited for Free Companies, you guys don't even know.

Yeah I was thinking TF2 is free to download and free to play, and I could make us a clan for it. We probably wouldn't be a good clan, at least at first, but we could try!

Well, I'm getting gw2 this weekend hopefully, so I'll cast my vote on that one :)

I'm planning on at least trying out TOR and PO2 when they come out though, so if it's either of them, I'll join as well.

TF2 is a shooter isn't it? I don't play those sadly. (and LOTRO doesn't interest me at all, sorry XD)

TF2 is a shooter, but it's…. well, it's not your typical mainstream gritfest. Very cartoony. You collect hats.

Looked pretty awesome, from what I've seen. And yeah, it's free.~

Really wanna try out PSO2, but kinda worried I'd feel obligated to stick with it and/or become slightly addicted. I was a big fan of the original PSO I & II. >.<

I was a huge fan of PSO I & II as well. I have so many memories playing it on my dreamcast and on gamecube with my cousins every summer. I'm definitely down for it, but I'm open to any option that the ls is willing to play

I would like to play Phantasy Star Universe I think, because I really enjoyed playing one of the PS1 games (or PS2, can't remember). :3

But!
I've played soooo many free MMORPG's, and I really have enjoyed Perfect World (which is similar to WoW, but a bit harder. It's still fun though.) and Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine (AKA Megaten.)

Megaten has been one of my favorite games ever free MMO wise, and I have played MANY.
But, the only downfall is that it's not very much to explore (Running around wise, I mean.)
But if any of you have played Persona, You can relate to how awesome this MMO is. XDD!

I honestly have no interest at all playing TF2. . . Sorry guys.
The only shooter game I'd ever play online is Unreal Tournament, and unless they've came out with a new one, it's pretty old. XDD

How do I sign up for 2.0 beta? Have they said anything about it yet?

I would play Star Wars with you all also.

But YEAH. Anyways – I'm super excited about 2.0, but too bad it will take a while for it to come up argh! ; n ;

I got Guild Wars 2 to play till 2.0 :3 I caved since Seia is playing it but I find it to be a pretty damn fun game now. Its a lil buggy right now but what MMO isn't on launch.

Omg, sorry for the random post here, but I'm raging a bit :p

I pre-ordered GW2, but couldn't go pick it up until today (which was annoying enough as it is), turns out they sold my copy to someone else, since I wasn't there to pick it up within 48 hours.

Now it turns out the guys at ArenaNet (GW2 company) are stopping sales since yesterday or so, since their servers can't keep up.

So my situation:
I have multiple full days of free time now, planned for GW2.
I called all game stores around, none have it in stock and won't for a couple of weeks.
And buying it online is even impossible due to the server issues. (something I don't like doing, but in this situation, I'd even take a digital copy >.>)

So yeah, rant over, I'm going to … I dunno, head outside for the first time in years? Haha, jk.
… I never go outside.
